Dorothy M. Patterson

Dorothy M. Patterson, 90, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Patterson was born Nov. 9, 1919 in Piggott, Ark. She was of the Baptist faith, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Patterson enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and quilting.

On July 6, 1966 she was married to Herman L. ""Duke"" Patterson in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 2005.

Survivors include her children, Alfred Kearbey and wife Betty of St. Louis, Lois Swearengin and Jerry Kearbey and wife Cleta all of Poplar Bluff and Kenneth Kearbey and wife Regina of Camdenton; 13 grandchildren: Deborah Weber and husband Steve, James Kearbey and wife Sue, Connie Horrell and husband JR, Edward Jackson, Brenda Stimmel and husband Tom, Shane Kearbey and wife Brandy, Tracey Cox and husband Terry, Jason Kearbey and wife Jennifer, Justin Kearbey and wife Kimberly, Donna Kearbey, Susie Kearbey, Sandy Kearbey and Travis Kearbey and wife Lauran; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Patterson was also preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Ida (Sedwick) Martin, sons, Louis Kearbey, Michael Kearney and Steven Kearbey, grandson, Leroy Kearbey, and 3 sisters and 5 brothers.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel with the Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
