Dorothy Marie Powell

Dorothy Marie Powell, 85, of Poplar Bluff, died Sunday, May 12, 2013, at her residence.

Ms. Powell was born August 16, 1927, in Pontiac, MI. She was a member of First Church of God, of Poplar Bluff, MO.

Survivors include a great-niece Rhonda Kumpula and husband Jon, nephews; Gregg Schulz and Ralph ""Andy"" Powell, all of MI, her beloved pet Jai J, and friend and caregiver, Tammy Morehead.

Her parents, Willis and Ethel (Johnson) Powell, sister, Margaret Schulz, brothers, Donald Powell and Ralph Powell and a niece, Lynn Chandler, all preceded her in death.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 ? 11 a.m. at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. at the chapel, with the Rev. Richard Triplett officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
