Dorothy Jean Wicks

Dorothy Jean Wicks, 67, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009 at her residence.

Mrs. Wicks was born July 7, 1941 in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of St. John's Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Wicks enjoyed canning, cooking and listening to gospel music.

Her husband Clifford Wicks preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, Lawrence Warren, of Poplar Bluff; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; a special friend and companion, Thomas Youngblood, of Poplar Bluff; 4 sisters: Hazel Turner and Marion Alexander, both of Poplar Bluff and Berge Reynolds and Margie Anderson, both of Ypsilanti, Mich.; 2 brothers: Bobby Warren and Joe Warren, both of Poplar Bluff; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17th at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Britton officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
