Earline Robertson

Earline Robertson, 87, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away May 20, 2014, at her residence.

Mrs. Robertson was born October 10, 1926, in Rombauer, MO, to the late Edward and Ethna Sutherland Smith.

On September 21, 1951, she married Harold Robertson, in Poplar Bluff. He survives of the home.

Mrs. Robertson was a member of First Baptist Church, where she served on the Hospitality Committee, worked in the nursery, and helped decorate for and serve on many different occasions. She retired from City Light and Water, where she worked as a payroll clerk for 37years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and serving others, and also worked at the United Gospel Rescue Mission Auxiliary for many years.

Other survivors include her children; Alana Robertson, of Poplar Bluff, and Brenda Allen (Tom), of Naylor, MO; three grandchildren: Joshua Allen, (Traci), Silas Allen, and Emily Allen and fiance, Beker Padilla; and two sisters: Elmetta Willis, of Poplar Bluff, and Ethna Wolpers, (Jerry), of Perry, MO.

A brother Edward Smith, two sisters: Evelyn Helton and Emma Smith, and a great grandchild, Harper Blakey Allen, preceded her in death.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral chapel with Rev. Charles Harper and Rev. Jim Dunn officiating. Burial will be at City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
