Eddie J. ""Tank"" Tankersley, Jr. 60, of Williamsville, Mo., died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Mr. Tankersley was born June 16, 1953 in Blytheville, Ark. He was a member of Agee Fellowship Church in Poplar Bluff and had retired as an industrial electrician. During his earlier years he was an all American football player. He also served in the U. S. Army as a Ranger. Mr. Tankersley loved to spend time with his family and fiance and enjoyed watching sports, especially the Chicago Cubs baseball and Chicago Bears football.
Survivors include his daughter, Madison Tankersley; his fiance, Tracy Clanahan both of the home; two sisters, DéShea Elliott of Chaffee, Mo. and DeNeille McMahan (Doug) of Anna, Ill.; two half sisters, Erica Tankersley and Serena Tankersley; and nieces and nephews, Tiffany Vandeven, Ashley Dooley, Whitney Bickings and J.D. McMahan.
His father, Eddie J. Tankersley, Sr. and mother, Mary Porter Longino preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23rd at Agee Fellowship Church in Poplar Bluff.
