Edgar Bolden, 77, of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Chicago, Ill., died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at The Manor in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Bolden was born March 17, 1935 in Saucier, Miss. He was of member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, and had retired after 35 years as a supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service in Chicago, Ill. Mr. Bolden also worked 25 years for Walgreen in Chicago. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
On Feb. 26, 1956, he married Inola Shaw in Chicago. Ill. She survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Edgar Bolden and wife, Joan of Washington, DC, Leonard Leroy Bolden, Dwight Elliott Bolden and Emery Curtis Bolden all of Chicago, Ill.; one grandchild, Shawn Bolden; and a host of nieces and nephews.
His parents, Horace and Esther (Winston) Bolden preceded him in death.
Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral chapel. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
