Edgar Calvin ""Ed"" Healy, 82, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Twin Rivers Medical Center in Kennett, Mo.

Mr. Healy was born March 21, 1929 in Stonefort, Ill. He was of the Baptist faith, and had retired from the U.S. Navy. After retiring from the military Mr. Healy worked as a courier for Commerce Bank and owned and operated a key and lock shop as well. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, listening to music and gardening.

On June 23, 1952, he married Margie May McAllister in Piggott, Ark. Mrs. Healy preceded him in death on Feb. 14, 2011.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan Anita Tubb and husband Michael of Poplar Bluff; grandchildren, Jason Tubb and wife Christie, Kevin Tubb and wife Karen and Travis Tubb all of Poplar Bluff; great-grandchildren, Marissa Murray, Megan Tubb, Mike Tubb and James Tubb; brother, Rev. James Robert Healey of Poplar Bluff; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Healy was also preceded in death by his parents, Terrah B. and Beatrice E. Rose Healy, son, Dale Healy, sister, Enid Healy, and brothers, Harvey Healy, Clifford Healy, Wilson Healy, Leonard Healy, Elbert Healy, Stanley Healy, Delmar Healy and Joseph Healy.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral chapel with Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
