Edith Frances Rogers

Edith Frances Rogers, 98, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at the Oakdale Care Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Rogers was born Feb. 12, 1912 in Rombauer. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Poplar Bluff, and a member of the East Highway Community Club. Mrs. Rogers enjoyed being a homemaker, a wife and mother, crocheting and gardening.

On Dec. 17, 1938 she married Glenn Edward Rogers in Campbell. He preceded her in death on July 11, 2005.

Survivors include her daughter, Alana DeBord and her husband A.J. of Poplar Bluff; granddaughter, Deri Lynn Terry and her husband Craig of Pace, Fla.; and great-grandchildren, Ricky Terry and Brittany Terry.

Her parents, William S. and Olive (Cave) Burruss, infant son, Charles Alan Rogers, granddaughter, Lara Featherston Cox, sister, Georgia Goins, and brothers, Edgar Burruss and Tom Burruss preceded her in death.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel with Dr. Steven Williams officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
