Edward C. Fluech, 67, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016 at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Fluech was born Feb. 26, 1948 in St. Louis, Mo. to the late Joseph Bernard and Agnes Elizabeth Stenger Fluech. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Poplar Bluff and had proudly served his county in the U.S. Navy as a welder and a deep-sea diver. Mr. Fluech was a retired farmer and manager of the Fluechville Mobile Home Park. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include four children: Charity Collins (Aaron), Edward C. Fluech Jr., Holly Fluech and Curtis Fluech all of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren: Hayden Baker, Hailey Baker and Hope Fluech; brothers: Joseph Wm. Fluech (Becky), of Georgia, John B. Fluech and James L. Fluech of Poplar Bluff, a sister; Sister Clara A. Fluech, OP of the state of Kansas.
A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Monday, Feb. 29 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father William Hodgson officiating. Interment will be at 12:00 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo. with full Military Honors.
