Edward "Eddie" F. Lee

Edward ‘Eddie’ F. Lee, 71, of Poplar Bluff, died Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at Oakdale Skilled Care Center in Poplar Bluff.

Eddie, the son of the late George D. and Dorothy A. (Hall) Lee, was born June 25,  1948, in Poplar Bluff.  He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and had retired as a truck driver.  Eddie enjoyed drag racing and hunting and fishing with his buddies.  His most treasured moments were times spent with his family especially his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Eddie married Cora Belle Jewell on June 4, 1974, in Poplar Bluff.  She survives.

Other survivors include four daughters, Misty Lee-Dye and her husband Derek and Tina Mathias and her husband Tim of Poplar Bluff, Barbara Brewington and her husband Bruce of McEwen, TN, and Vickie Hopkins also of Poplar Bluff; six grandchildren, Brandy Robertson and her husband Timmy, Amber Kerr and her husband John,Gentry Mathias, Guydence Lee-Dye, Tyler Haynes and Ashley Shoults; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Bobby Joe Lee and Jimmy Lee also preceded Eddie in death.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel.  No other services to follow.
