Eleanore Hedwig Seifert

Eleanore Hedwig Seifert, 88, of Rocky River, Ohio died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009 at St. John's West Shore Hospital in West Lake, Ohio.
Mrs. Seifert was born Dec. 8, 1920 in Chicago, Ill. She was an active member of Rocky River Presbyterian Church, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, collecting antiques with her husband, gardening and working crossword puzzles.
On May 17, 1941 she married Channon N. Seifert in Chicago. Ill. He preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 1993.
Survivors include three children: Eileen Seifert-Stockdale and husband Michael of Bay Village, Ohio, Gregory D. Seifert and wife Paula of Springfield, Ill. and Channon Seifert Jr. of Indianapolis, Ind.; six grandchildren: Channon Seifert III, Jennifer Bolton, Emily Seifert, Jessica Stockdale, Meghan Stockdale and Amy Stockdale; a great-grandchild, Sydney Bolton; and a son-in-law, Michael Doss of Des Moines, Iowa.
Mrs. Seifert was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Amanda (Mattson) Johnson, a daughter, Gail Seifert Doss, brothers, Clarence Johnson and Irving Johnson, sister-in-law, Minola Seifert, and brothers-in-law, Thadis Seifert and Robert Seifert.
Visitation will begin at 12 noon Saturday, Oct. 3rd at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Ann Altman officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
