Elizabeth ""Bea"" Norwood, 85, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010 at Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Norwood was born Aug. 27, 1924 in Hickory Ridge, Ark. She was a member of Highland Church of Christ, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Norwood enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and flower gardening.
On Nov. 14, 1942 she was married to George Norwood. He preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 1991.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Morgan and husband Lynn, of Poplar Bluff; grandchildren, Bryan Morgan and Misty Morgan-Ray and husband Rodney, all of Poplar Bluff; great-grandson, Logan Ray; sisters, Helen Owen, of Fla. and Yvonne Dicus and Margie Cox, both of Corning, Ark.; and brothers, W. L. Duncan and Benny Duncan, both of Poplar Bluff and O'Neal Duncan of Doniphan.
Her parents, Obediah and Stella (Hollaman) Duncan preceded Mrs. Norwood in death.
Visitation will begin at 12 noon Saturday, at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Chapel with Mr. Dennis Hanes officiating. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
Memorials are encouraged in Mrs. Norwood's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
