Ellis Dowaine Timmerman

Ellis D. Timmerman, 81, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015, at his residence.

Mr. Timmerman was born August 11, 1933 in Poplar Bluff to the late Milton Lloyd and Lusetta Ellis Timmerman. He attended First Baptist Church and had served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Timmerman had retired from Whirlpool Corporation.

Survivors include two brothers: Robert Timmerman (Velma), and Marvin Timmerman; four sisters: Loretta Bilbrey (Richard), Bernita Sanderson, Jo Tinker (Lew), and Judy Bridges (Mike); several nieces and nephews and special friends: Tim Aman, Arlin Dixson and "Pops".

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: James and Loren Timmerman and three sisters: Hettie Smith, and Irene and Berniece Timmerman.

Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 - 10:15 a.m. at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the Woodlawn section of the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery. Dr. William Vail will officiate.
