Elsie Elizabeth Grobe, 92, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, May 21, 2010, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Grobe was born Nov. 17, 1917 in Greenley, Colo. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Poplar Bluff and was a homemaker. Mrs. Grobe was a member of the East Highway Community Club and Women's Citizenship Club.
On Feb. 11, 1938, she was married to Paul Edward Grobe in Hollywood, Calif. He preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1996.
Survivors include her sons, Paul D. Grobe and his wife Mary of Poplar Bluff, and Donald G. Grobe and his wife Adina of Montgomery, Ala.; daughters-in-law, Marrine Grobe and Sue Grobe both of Dexter; 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren; and sister, Alma Banghart of Eaton, Colo.
Mrs. Grobe was also preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Elizabeth (Daubert) Wilhelm, and sons, Richard L. Grobe and Terry W. Grobe.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel with Dr. Steven Williams officiating. Burial will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
