Emil Charles Thurner

Emil Charles Thurner, 71, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away, Friday, Feb. 27, 2015 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Mr. Thurner was born Dec. 9, 1943 in Chicago, IL, to the late Emil and Dorothy (Holtz) Thurner. He was a retired cable installer. Mr. Thurner enjoyed spending time with his family, mopeds and electronic gadgets.

Survivors include five children: Kristin Zuniga (Benjamin), Tracy Cole and Roy Thurner (Sharon), all of Poplar Bluff, Natalie Thurner of Brighton, TN and Ashley Greene (Terry), of Cordova, TN; several grandchildren; and three sisters: Janice Schleder (George), of Willow Brook, IL, Joyce Dopkowski, of Dowagiac, MI and Patricia Thurner, of Blue Island, IL.

Inurnment of Mr. Thurner's ashes will be at the family cemetery in Chicago, IL at a later date.

Cotrell Funeral Service of Poplar Bluff is in charge of arrangements.
