Emma Jane (Fain) Prall, 89, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Born on October 26, 1923 in Walnut Ridge, AK, Mrs. Prall resided in Poplar Bluff from early childhood, graduating from Poplar Bluff High School in 1941.She married Norman E. Prall in 1942 and had two children ? Phillip Fain and Charlotte Cheri. Mrs. Prall was a teller at the former State Bank of Poplar Bluff. A long time member of the First United Methodist Church, she joyfully taught the toddler Sunday School class for many years. She enjoyed painting, drawing, sewing and knitting.
Survivors include daughter Cheri (Dr. William) Dowd, daughter-in-law Norma Prall, grandsons Jeffery S. (Jody) Prall and Dr. Bradley S. (Katie) Prall, three precious great-grandchildren Emily, Benjamin, and Isabella and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse P. and Della (Pyle) Fain, two brothers, JP and Leonard, three sisters, Eunice, Aven, and Jewel, her husband of 68 years, Norman E. Prall and son, Phillip Fain Prall.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, North Main, on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 10 a.m. Visitation will follow in the library of the First United Methodist Church. Gifts of remembrance can be made to the First United Methodist Church, 500 Main Street, Poplar Bluff, MO.
