Emma Parlee Moore Stovall

Emma Parlee (Moore) Stovall, 81, of Canyon Lake, Tex., formerly of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Kirkwood Manor in New Braunfels, Tex.

Mrs. Stovall was born May 31, 1929 in Taskee, Mo. She was a member of Cranes Mill Baptist Church in Canyon Lake, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Stovall enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing and cooking.

On June 7, 1947, she married James Clarence Stovall. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2001.

Survivors include 3 children, James Allen Stovall of Canyon Lake, Tex., Emma Jean Roberts of Seffner, Fla. and Gala Ann Whitehead of Bonifay, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; 6 sisters, Katherine Parker, Margaret Jenkins, Georgia Young, Melba Amarine, Sharon Hafford and Joyce Labrier all of Poplar Bluff; and 2 brothers, Larry William Moore and Gary Dale Moore both of Poplar Bluff.

Two sons, Carl Edward Stovall and Kenneth Eugene Stovall also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral chapel with Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
