Emma Irene (Pratt) Vaughn

Emma Irene Vaughn, 84, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, March 12, 2012 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Vaughn was born May 6, 1927 in Morley, Mo. She was of the Baptist faith, and had formerly worked in a nursing home as a CNA. Mrs. Vaughn enjoyed caring for her children and grandchildren, gardening, canning, cooking and fishing.

On Oct. 30, 1943, she married Jason Vaughn. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1987.

Survivors include her son, Michael L. Vaughn of Poplar Bluff; 25 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great great-grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita Roseberry of House Springs, Mo. and Shirley Noel of Naylor, Mo.; and two brothers, Andy Pratt and Gene Pratt both of Poplar Bluff.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Black Creek Cemetery.
