Erma Aileen Shane

Erma A. Parker Shane, 88, of Huntington Beach, CA, died Thursday, July 11, 2013 in Huntington Beach.

Mrs. Shane was born on August 28, 1924 in Parsons, KS. She was a homemaker, and served many years as a hospital volunteer as well as a volunteer for the Boy Scouts and Camp Fire Girls while her children were young.

On December 18, 1954, she married Jack Loyd Shane in Parsons, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2013.

Other survivors include a daughter Leslie Musselman (William) of Marina, CA; a son Mike Shane (Cindy) of Poplar Bluff, MO; four grandchildren, Jessica Shane, Joseph Shane, Allegra Carne, and Derek North; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bernidine Moore of Norwalk, CA.

Her parents, Neal and Dora Howe Parker also preceded her in death.

A graveside service will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO with the Rev. Jim Schremp officiating.
