Esther L. Miller, 77, of Poplar Bluff, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Miller was born Feb. 4, 1929, in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of the Church of Nazarene and had retired in 1992 as an accounts payable secretary for the Central Office of the Poplar Bluff Public Schools. Mrs. Miller was a R.S.V.P. volunteer as well as a volunteer for the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center Ladies Auxiliary, where she formerly served as President. She enjoyed spending time with her family and being active.
On April 10, 1953, she married Francis Miller, in Poplar Bluff. He survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Sally Kennedy, of Poplar Bluff; a son, Steven Miller, of Casey, Ill.; 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; 6 sisters, Barbara Britton and Jennie Davidson, both of Poplar Bluff, Bessie Edwards, of St. Charles, Ella Osborne, of So. Beloit, Ill., Jean Jones, of O'Fallon and Sharon Welsh, of Overland; and a brother, Neal C. Stephens, of Lufkin, Tex.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, in the chapel, with the Rev. Greg Gilberto officiating and the Rev. Lucille Hausser assisting. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
