Ethel Elaine Cooper Emery passed away on March 9, 2018 in Poplar Bluff, MO.
Elaine was born on April 13, 1937 to Cecil and Gertrude (Lynn) Cooper in Oquawka, IL. She attended Henderson County Schools She received her GED in 1969.
She married Charles Bundy in 1955, they had three children Marsha, Doyle and Donna, and they divorced. She later married Jim Emery and they had one son Ronald.
She worked at GE Burlington IA; also as a Home Health Aid in Henderson County, her last place of employment for 35 years was with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services through Bridgeway in Monmouth, IL. She retired in 2001 because of her disability.
She moved to the Davenport Lutheran Home in Davenport IA. to be closer to her daughter in Feb 2007. She then moved to Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. in October 2009.
Surviving is one son, Doyle Bundy of Colorado, one daughter, Donna (Roger) Harmsen of Wappapello, MO.; four grandchildren, Mike (Hollie) Neal of Pekin, IL, Jim (Amy) Neal of Abingdon, IL, Chuck (Lora) Newton of Biggsville, IL and Katie (Tim) Wilson of Bossier City, LA; eight great grandchildren, Jayden, Breanna, Branden Neal, Becky, Laura, Ruby Ann Newton, Kyle, Emily Wilson; Her first great-great-grandchild arriving in May 2018; sisters in law, Wanda, Juanita and Kathy Cooper, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marsha Kidd, one son, Ronald Emery, great-grandson, Tyler James Neal, brothers Raus, Clyde and Mitch Cooper, sisters, Marianna Thorndyke and Peggy Fye.
