Ethel M. Stucker Lockett

Ethel Marie Stucker Lockett, 65, of Chatsworth, Ga., formerly of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, Ga.

Mrs. Lockett was born Oct. 20, 1945 in Butler County, Mo. She was of the Baptist faith, and had retired as an LPN. During her early years she worked at Poplar Bluff Hospital. Mrs. Lockett enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, reading, and traveling.

On Sept. 5, 1981, she married Dale R. Lockett in Sandy Springs, Ga. He survives.

Other survivors include her brother, William Stucker (Juanita) of Poplar Bluff; sister-in-law, Barbara Stucker Baker of Poplar Bluff; nieces, Karen Sue Kayser (Allan) of Jacksonville, Fla., and Janice Babineau of Elberta, Ala.; nephews, Ralph Stucker (Pam) of Poplar Bluff and Randy Stucker; and brother-in-laws, George (Winifred) Lockett of Arcadia, Fla. and James Lockett (Debbie) of Chandler, Ariz.

Her parents, Elmer and Jewell Deaton Stucker and brother, Ralph Stucker preceded Mrs. Lockett in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral chapel with Rev. Ron Daughhetee officiating. Burial will be at New Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler County.
