Eudora Marcella Barwick, 95, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Black River Medical Center.
Mrs. Barwick was born September 22, 1919 in St. Louis, MO to Edward and Sarah Clementine Kitchen Marsh. On June 20, 1942, she and Vernard Pernell Barwick were married in St. Louis, and she had retired as an assistant manager at the Federal Land Bank.
Mrs. Barwick was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church in Poplar Bluff, where she was an active member. She was also a past member of the board of directors for several terms at the Poplar Bluff Public Library, docent at both the Bloodworth House and the Margaret Harwell Art Museum, a member of the Literary Club, PEO; Chapter M.F. and the Garden Club.
Survivors include her children: Craig Barwick, (Susan) and Brad Barwick, (Syreda), all of Poplar Bluff; and grandchildren: Brian Barwick, (Gretchen), of St. Louis, Evan Barwick of Poplar Bluff, and Whitney Barwick and fiance, Aaron Wyble, of Galveston Texas.
Her parents; a sister, Mildred P. James; and a brother, Edward M. Marsh preceded her in death.
Visitation will be Monday from 12:45 - 1:45 p.m. at Cotrell Funeral Service, followed by a graveside service beginning at 2 p.m. at City Cemetery. Pastor Debra Tracy will be officiating.
