Eva M. Barker, 85, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Barker was born March 8, 1927 in East St. Louis, Ill. She was a member of Little Brown General Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Barker enjoyed spending time with her family, going to church, Bible study, crocheting, quilting and gardening.
On May 12, 1945, she married Barney Barker. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1996.
Survivors include four sons: Paul Barker and wife, Brenda, Jerry Barker, Dennis Barker and wife, Renda and Scottie Barker and wife, Donna, all of Poplar Bluff; five grandchildren: Dawn Tyler and husband, Wayne, Jim Barker, Jamie Vernon and husband, Jason, Erin Decker and Josh Shaw; six great-grandchildren: Calli Barker, Nolan Barker, Avery Vernon, Taylor Barker, Mackie Decker and Jesse Decker; and a brother, Jesse Anderson and wife, Ruth, of Poplar Bluff.
Her parents, Perry and Harlie (Inman) Anderson, a sister, Lena Beck and a brother, Ralph Jackson also preceded Mrs. Barker in death.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral chapel with Rev. Willis Smith officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
