Eva Jones

On February 2, 2017 Eva Jean Jones completed her journey here on earth to be with our Heavenly Father.

Eva was born Oct. 5, 1935 to Wayne and Edna Yeager Vernon. She was a member of the Catholic Church. Eva was a member of the K.C. Ette in which she was voted K.C. Ette of the year.

She married Fredrick Jones on January 3, 1970. They were together for 47 years.

Before she retired, Eva was a cook manager for Sacred Heart School. The students enjoyed her delicious meals especially when they got extra and the fresh homemade cookies. Eva was best known for her cinnamon rolls by her family and friends. They were also a big hit with the children.

Eva also participated in the Sacred Heart Bazaar. She donated her time and talents along with her homemade apple butter. Eva’s other talents were the beautiful quilts she made. She spent many hours making porcelain dolls and their clothes she dressed them in. She also enjoyed painting ceramic tea sets and china. All the while raising eight children.

She is survived by her husband, Fredrick Jones of Springfield, Mo; her children: James Curtis Murphy his children; Joshua and Ely, Melissa (Terry) Murphy their children; Jeremy, Mandy and Josiah, Michael (Laurie) Murphy their children; Aaron, Rebecca, Loren, Lindsey and Aiden, Patricia Thomas her children; Jennifer, Chad and John, Erin (Russ) Murphy their children; Christopher, Sean and Keagan, Sean (Maya) Murphy their children; Jaffer, Levi, Samuel and Rael, Brian Murphy (Gwen) their children; Collin, Anna, Logan and Cade, Jason Jones his children; Skyler, Tiffany, Emily and Hailey; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter, one sister and one brother.

Her parents, two sisters and one brother preceded Eva in death.
