Evan Deon Ellison

Evan Deon Ellison, 45, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away Friday, Feb. 10, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Evan, the son of Larry and Jane Hunt Ellison, was born April 29, 1971 in Poplar Bluff. He worked at Briggs and Stratton as a line worker. Evan enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, working out, watching game shows and playing basketball. He was fascinated with semi-trucks and had a love for baking. His specialty was pound cake.

In addition to his parents, Evan is survived by a daughter, Tanisha Jones; two grandchildren, Chloe and Caleb; five sisters, Shawnta, Jami, Ashley, Kaiya and Haley Ellison; and three brothers, Torrey, Derland and Colbi Ellison.

The visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Andrew Jefferson and the Rev. Johnny Williams will officiate. Burial will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
