Evelyn Morse

Mary Evelyn Morse, 82, of Poplar Bluff, died Sunday, April 11, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Morse was born May 12, 1927 at Harviell, Mo. and was a homemaker. She was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed playing the piano and music.

On January 6, 1945 she was married to Paul D. Morse. He preceded her in death on Oct. 12, 2000.

Surviving are two sons, Gary Paul Morse and Leroy D. Morse both of Poplar Bluff; 6 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren; one sister, Wanda Sullivan; two brothers, Leroy McNew and Darrel McNew all of Poplar Bluff; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel with Rev. Melburn Deaton officiating and Rev. Danny Helton assisting. Burial will be in the Old Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler County.
