Everett H. Nunley, 82, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2015, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Mr. Nunley was born July 8, 1932, in Butler County, to Ernest Franklin and Clora Morlen Nunley. On June 18, 1993, he and Sandra L. Warren were married in Butler County. She survives of the home.
Mr. Nunley was a member of Fisk Presbyterian Church. He was educated as a machinist tool and die maker. As president of Handi Things Manufacturing, he was instrumental in bringing that company to the Poplar Bluff Industrial Park in 1980. He later retired as owner of L & M Manufacturing in Fisk. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and traveling in his RV. He was a member of the Elks for over 42 years, past member of Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce and Former President of Poplar Bluff Industries.
Along with his wife, he is survived by a son, Gary Raymond Nunley; and a daughter Jaclyn Sue Crawford (Jerret), all of Poplar Bluff; stepdaughter, Wendy Warren Meade (Darcy), of Warsaw, IN; stepson, Jay Warren (Candace) of Poplar Bluff; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; a brother, Frank Nunley, of Ellsinore; two sisters, Velma Stratton, of Ellsinore and Margaret Wallace (Roy), of Bridgeton, MO; and a sister-in-law, Carol Gilliam Green, of Topeka, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Larry Clinton Nunley and Terry Lynn Nunley; a brother, Clyde Nunley, and two sisters, Erma Sikes and Gladys Nunley.
A graveside service will be held at Henson Cemetery on Hwy A, Ellsinore, MO beginning at 1:30 p.m. Friday.
