Faye Allensworth

Faye Allensworth, 73, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009 at her residence.

Mrs. Allensworth was born Feb. 26, 1935 in Mosquero, New Mexico. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, and had retired from Grecian Steakhouse after 20 years as a waitress. Mrs. Allensworth enjoyed listening to and recording music, and babysitting her grandson.

Her husband, Bud Allensworth preceded her in death in 1996.

Survivors include three sons: Kirt Rush, Chad Rush and Jim Rush, all of poplar Bluff; a step-son, Brad Allensworth, of Fla.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Nell Tiberi, of Poplar Bluff; and two brothers, Leroy Tobler, of Ariz. and Richard Thornton, of New Mexico.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Vaughn Kirkman officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
