Poplar Bluff, Missouri

Floyd Curtis Wilson, 86, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Floyd was born on May 26, 1933 in Qulin, MO the son of John William and Louise Mae (Patterson) Wilson.

Floyd worked as a regional salesman for Case tractors for more than 20 years after which Floyd owned and operated a farm equipment supply store in Mayslick KY, called “Mayslick Farm Supply”. Following that he managed an equipment supply store “Honey Creek Tractors” in Terra Haute IN.

Floyd spent his time hunting with his friends, fishing with his sons, taking care of his hunting dogs and taking care of his father after retirement. He enjoyed playing poker and cards with his family at holiday gatherings.

Survivors include, two sons, Brad Wilson of O’Fallon, MO and Jeff Wilson of Warrenton, MO; four sisters, Helen Davis of Poplar Bluff, LuCinda Williams of Osage Beach, MO, Bonnie Loyd of Poplar Bluff and Mary Brown of St. Louis, MO; and four grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by three siblings, Iva Mae Best, Patricia Wiley and John Wilson.

A private memorial celebrating Floyd’s life will be held at a later date.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to SEMO Christian Restoration Center, 1875 Speedway Drive, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901

Arrangements have been entrusted to Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff.
