Frances Ann Bailey

Frances Ann Bailey, 74, of Wappapello died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at her residence.

Mrs. Bailey was born Feb. 29, 1936 in Chicago, Ill. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Poplar Bluff, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Bailey enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, listening to music and taking care of others even if she had to do without.

On Feb. 19, 1955 she was married to Ralph Bailey in Chicago, Ill. He preceded her in death on July 22, 2005.

Survivors include children: Ralph Bailey Jr. and wife Bernie of Chicago, Ed Bailey and wife Cherie of Carthage, Bill Bailey of Merrillville, Ind., James Bailey and wife Shannon of Poplar Bluff and Karen Johnson and husband Ed of Shook; grandchildren: Michael and Scottie Bailey, Karie Brown, Katie Hooper, Alan Gladney, Bill Bailey, Jr., Donnie Bailey, Steven Bailey, Nicole Bailey, Lucas Bailey, Spencer Bailey, Melissa Johnson and Heather Evans; great-grandchildren: Kloie Hooper, Kaitlynn Brown, Isaac Brown, Easton Evans, Eli Evans and Addisyn Bailey; and sisters, Marcie Sadowski and Margie Rosemanitz, both of Chicago.

Her parents, Alex and Mary (Perusich) Piecul, sister, Jean Urbanowski and brother, Alex Piecul, Jr. also preceded Mrs. Bailey in death.

The family will receive and visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wappapello Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 11a.m. Wednesday at Wappapello Cotrell Funeral Chapel with Father David Coon officiating and Bro. Louie Robinson assisting. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery at Shook.
