Frances Byers

Frances Hughes Yeager Byers, 99, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Westwood Healthcare in Poplar Bluff.

She was born on December 12, 1918 in Arkadelphia, AR to Alvah and Lida May (Beaty) Hughes. Frances was a retired teacher where she taught in the Stuttgart School District for over 30 years. She has been a resident of Poplar Bluff since 2007.

She married Dr. Jesse Yeager and he preceded her in death on June 15, 1955. She later married Tom Byers and he preceded her in death on November 15, 1974.

Frances is survived by her daughter-in-law, Lisa Yeager of Poplar Bluff; one granddaughter, Holly (Jon) Lintner and their sons, Zane, Peyton, and Trey all of Jackson, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Yeager; her two husbands; her parents; and six siblings, Esther Hughes, A.R. Hughes, Jr., LaVerne Pennington, Ray Hughes, Raymond Hughes, and Elmer Glenn Hughes.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff with Reverend Bruce Pittman officiating.
