Frances Lee Goodrum (nee Cherry) of Imperial, MO went home to meet her Lord and Savior after a long battle with cancer on November 29, 2014 in Tampa, FL at age 65.
She was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt. Frances was predeceased by her parents Luther Sidney Cherry and Frances Juanita Cherry. She is survived by her husband, Terry Michael Goodrum and her children, Aaron Jay Goodrum and Samuel Cort Goodrum and her sister, Barbara Lane. She also leaves behind two adored grandchildren, Sophia Faith Foster and Maximus Victor Goodrum.
Frances was born July 20, 1949 in Cairo, IL. She was married to Terry Michael Goodrum on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1970, in Poplar Bluff, MO.
Frances graduated from University of Missouri-Columbia and worked at KTVI Channel 2 retiring in 2005 after 20 years. Frances was an avid reader who loved shopping and traveling with her family. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Charleston, MO.
Frances was sweet and gentle and loved and looked after her family.
She will be greatly missed, but memories of her loving nature, guidance and wisdom will endure with her family.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday Dec 5th at Cotrell Funeral Chapel; in Poplar Bluff, MO. The funeral service will be at 11a.m. Saturday Dec 6th at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with Pastor Carl Kerr officiating. Interment will follow at Black Creek Cemetery, in Butler County, MO.
