Francis May Pennington, 70, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Pennington was born May 11, 1941 in Potosi, Mo., and was a graduate of North County High School in Desloge, Mo. She was a member of the Third Baptist Church, and had previously worked at Smiley Container and the Russell Stover Store. Mrs. Pennington enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, gardening and working crossword puzzles.
On June 29, 1968, she married Jessie Pennington at the First Church of God in Gumbo, Mo. He survives.
Survivors include her daughters, Angela Hardin and husband Jeff of Sikeston, Mo. and Maria Willis and husband Kenneth of Bullard, Tex.; grandsons, William and Trevor Walz; sister, Cynthia Paraski and husband Steve of Mesquite, Tex.; brothers, James Vernon Winch of Farmington, Mo., John Winch and wife Bernice of Killeen, Tex. and Richard Winch of Austin, Tex; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Pennington was preceded in death by her parents, James Robert and Velma Lucille (Sutton) Winch.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ralph Mays officiating. Burial will be at Cochran Cemetery in Butler County.
