Frieda Marie Davis

Frieda M. Davis, 84, of Williamsville, Mo., passed away Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016 at residence.

Mrs. Davis was born Aug. 8, 1932 in Madison, Ill., to the late Fred and Daisy Randall Lanham. She was of the Baptist faith and was a retired housekeeper for Westwood Hills Health Care. Mrs. Davis enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and family.

On May 26, 1951, she was married to Carl E. Davis in Granite City, Ill. He preceded her in death on July 21, 2002.

Survivors include two children: Gary (Penny) Davis of Poplar Bluff and Brenda (William) Stuever of Williamsville; three grandchildren: Anthony (Julie) Stuever of Wappapello, Mo., Brad Davis and Sara (Pride) Wilder of Poplar Bluff; a brother, Louis Lanham of Clearwater, Fl., and a sister Emily Bone of Poplar Bluff.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters: Zelma Nelson, Doris Stevens and Vivian Kolher.

The visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff, with the funeral service following at 11 a.m.
