Garold "Gary" P. England

Garold “Gary” P. England, 78, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2018 at Westwood Hills Healthcare Center in Poplar Bluff.

Gary, the son of the late Ira Lee and Gladys Shields England, was born Oct. 17, 1940 in Jackson Lake, Michigan. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and had retired as a Lab Technician from John J. Pershing VA Medical Center. Gary was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing and playing golf.

Gary married Sandra “Sandy” Resnik on June 27, 1959 in Poplar Bluff. She survives.

Other survivors include their three children, Mike England of Phoenix, Ariz., Jan (Randy) Allen and Pam Cooper of Edmond, Okla.; six grandchildren, Heather (Austin) Fugitt, Stephanie England, Mikki (Trey) Cole, Matt Allen, Andrew England and Avery England; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with a Prayer Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Father Michael McDevitt will serve as Celebrate. Inurnment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
