Gary Glen Herndon

Gary Glen Herndon, 65, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011 in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Herndon was born July 13, 1945 in Salem, Mo. He attended Grace Christian Fellowship in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Herndon was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and had retired from AT&T. He enjoyed all types of sports, watching Three Rivers Raiders basketball, reading, computers and watching movies.

In December 1995, he married Rebecca Carey in Poplar Bluff. She survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Carey Pickard, Carmen Hawkins and Katy Jordan all of Poplar Bluff; and a sister, Karen Hastings of Augusta, Ga.

A graveside service with full military honors will be at 12 noon Friday at Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield with the Rev. Brian Sharp officiating.
