Gary Wayne Kysar

Gary Wayne Kysar, 57, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Monday, November 24, 2014, at his residence.

Mr. Kysar was born in Poplar Bluff, Mo. to the late Orville J. and Verna Maona Brown Kysar. He graduated from PBHS in 1975 and later as Valedictorian from DeVry University, in Kansas City, Mo.

He was a self-employed businessman and entrepreneur and was of the Methodist faith. He enjoyed traveling by car cross country, taking photos and documenting his trips. One favorite stop was California to visit with his niece. He also enjoyed touring Asia and Europe with friends, coin collecting and reading

Survivors include his sister, Kathryn Kysar Oleinik (Izzy), of Mission Viejo, Calif.; a niece, Kaitlyn Kysar Oleinik, of Boulder, Colo.; a special friend, Sandra Hatchell, of Springfield; a beloved aunt, Vida Lee Snider, of Poplar Bluff; and many friends and extended family.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Kaye Kysar.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff, with funeral services following at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery. For the many out-of-town relatives and friends a live webcast may be viewed with consent from the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gary's honor to American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, Wounded Warriors, your favorite charity, First United Methodist Church or simply by planting a maple tree.
