Gary Vinson

Gary Lee Vinson, 68, of Poplar Bluff, passed away at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical.

He was born on June 3, 1950 to Glenn and Violet (Hathaway) Vinson in Poplar Bluff. Gary lived in Poplar Bluff until he was 10 when he and his family moved to California.
He remained in California where he married and had his children. After his retirement from Lockheed Martin in 2002 he moved back to Poplar Bluff.

He loved his family, reading, baking, and listening to music.

Gary is survived by two daughters, Jessica Vinson and Brook Vinson both of San Jose, CA; two sisters, Carolyn Russle of Farmington, MO and Sharon Raymer of Mexico, MO; one brother, Glen Ray Vinson of Modesto, CA; and three step-sons, Brett Hawkins of Denver, CO, Matt Hawkins of New Hampshire, and Ty Hawkins of Santa Cruz, CA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirrell Bollinger Vinson; and his parents.

The family requests donations be sent to the Poplar Bluff Public Library.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2018 at Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff.
