Gayla Faye Lewis

Gayla Faye Lewis, 53, of Broseley, Mo. died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Poplar Bluff regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Lewis was born March 15, 1959 in Poplar Bluff. She was of the Pentecostal faith, and worked in Home Health Care for the Independent Living Center of Poplar Bluff. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren, sewing and fishing.

On March 10, 1979, she married William B. ""Bill"" Lewis in Poplar Bluff. He survives.

Other survivors include two children, Christal Dawn Lewis of Poplar Bluff and James Blake Lewis of Broseley, Mo.; her mother, Norma (Curry) Barnes of Poplar Bluff; four grandchildren, Trinity Summerlott, Johnathon Summerlott, Austin Chism and Audrey Chism; and a brother, Curtis Barnes and wife Pamela of Poplar Bluff.

Her father, Curt Barnes preceded Mrs. Lewis in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral chapel with Rev. Bryan Parkey officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
