Gayle Hessling

Gayle Hessling, 66, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Mrs. Hessling was born on June 13, 1946 in Dublin, GA to Lewis and Mary Kathleen Cecil Rodgers. She was later adopted by Dr. Daniel Hensley.

On June 30, 1962 she married Bobby Hessling at Caruthersville, MO. He survives of the home.

Mrs. Hessling was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She loved spending time with her family, fishing, writing poems and song, and liked horses and dogs.

She is survived by her husband, her sons: Jody (Susan) Hessling, Robert Hessling, and David Hessling, grandchildren: Shea Hessling, Joey Hessling, Katie Hessling, Nick Bradford, and great grandchildren: Joel, Emily, and Peyton, and a sister Jan (Larry) Rommel, all of Poplar Bluff.

She was preceded in death by a daughter; Ann Marie Hessling, her parents, and a sister; Sharon Goodman.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 on Monday at the chapel, with Rev. Dennis Ward officiating. Internment will follow at City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
