George William Baumgardner

George William Baumgardner, 75, of Columbus GA, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

Mr. Baumgardner was born in Poplar Bluff, Mo, on January 21, 1938, to Charles and Jessie Mae Lucas Baumgardner.

He was married to Patsy Jean Gooch. She died on February 17, 2013.

Mr. Baumgardner was of the Catholic faith, and retired from the United States Army. He owned and operated Baumgardner Rentals.

Survivers include his sister Mary Ann Ryan of Billings, MO, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and a brother John Charles Bumgardner.

Visitation will be Friday from 6 ? 7 p.m. at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Father David Coon will be officiating.
