George Willie Blufoes, 95, of Broseley, Mo. died Sunday, April 1, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Blufoes was born March 22, 1917 in Warren County, Ark. He was a member of New Home Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired farmer. Mr. Blufoes was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, gardening, and barbequing.
On Oct. 27, 1942, he married Ella Mae Arrington in Poplar Bluff. She preceded him in death on Feb. 26, 1979.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Barbara Jean Jackson of Poplar Bluff and Angela Overton of East St. Louis, Ill.; and 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Home Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the Church with Dr. Quincy Keeble Sr. officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
