George Franklin Reno, 79, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on September 03, 2025, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

George was born on January 17, 1946, to George and Beatrice (Hensley) Reno in New Madrid, Missouri. He married Delores Withrow on April 27, 1971, in Poplar Bluff, MO.

George served in the Army from 1969-1971 as a SGT E-5 in Bamberg, Germany. After leaving the service he worked at Metropolitan Sewer District in St. Louis, MO for 40+ years. After retirement he enjoyed, listening to music, camping, fishing, mowing the yard, traveling, and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

George is survived by his wife of 54 years, Delores; sons, George Russell Reno (Terry) of Macon, GA, and James Franklin Reno of Poplar Bluff, MO; grandchildren, Amanda Holman (Logan) of Salt Lake City, UT, Rebecca Templeton of Navarre, FL, Richard Templeton of Gainsville, FL, Troy Templeton of Macon, GA, Paige Reno (Collin) of St. Louis, and Trenton Reno of St. Louis, MO; great grandchildren, Oliver, Harvey, and Lennon; brother, Danny Reno (Desma) of Jackson, MO; nephews, Matthew Reno (Dana) and their son, Liam, of Nashville, TN, and Jonathan Reno of Cape Girardeau, MO. along with other family and friends.

George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Beatrice; and one brother, David Reno.

Funeral services will be on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Missouri State Veteran Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
