George David Greer

George David Greer, 62, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. Greer was born May 29, 1952 in Poplar Bluff to the late George Donald and Mary Louise Gamblin Greer.

He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed spending time with his family, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, camping, fishing, and hunting.

Survivors include his three sons: George Greer of Wappapello, Westly Greer of Wentzville, MO, and Kevin Greer of Troy, TX; a stepbrother, Garry Hodges of Copperas Cove, TX; three sisters: Phyllis Ellsworth of Poplar Bluff, Linda Greer and Sally Greer, both of San Antonio, TX; and three grandchildren.

His son, David Greer preceded him in death on January 26, 2012.

A Graveside service will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jim Schremp officiating.
