Georgia Moore

Georgia Moore, 80, of Poplar Bluff, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at the Embracing Hospice Care Center, in Jonesboro, GA.

Mrs. Moore was born June 5, 1926, in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of the Providence New Home Missionary Baptist Church, in Butler County where she was a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the choir. Mrs. Moore was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and as an avid seamstress, loved to make quilts and arts and crafts.

In 1942, she married the Rev. Henry S. Moore, in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death, in 1983.

Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy S, McWilliams, of McDonough, GA; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Francis White, Josephine Mosley and Maggie Greer, all of St. Louis and Bertha Keeble, of Columbus, OH; and two brothers, Calvin Hinton, of Poplar Bluff and Elbert Hinton, of St. Louis.
