Georgie Lee Griffin

Georgie L. Griffin, 91, formerly of Poplar Bluff, was called home by God on Tuesday, November 26, 2019.

Georgie was born July 19, 1928. She was a dedicated wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, who worked tirelessly her entire life taking care of the ones she loved. Georgie was an amazing cook and talented quilt-maker. She also enjoyed gardening and sewing. In retirement, she joined her husband, Harold, in his hobbies. Together they rode horses, went on wagon trail rides, and enjoyed going to church.

She is survived by her sons: Donald (Liz) Griffin of San Antonio, Texas; Ronald (Jane) Griffin of Pevely, and Rocky (Sandy) Griffin of Imperial; a sister-in law Mildred Skinner; eight grandchildren: Donald (Chris) Griffin, Kathleen (Tim) Connor, Tim Griffin, Kim (Dustin) Manning, Brandi (Dan) Herron, Jeff (Jenni) Griffin, Kevin (Jackie) Griffin, Mike (Erin) Griffin; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Harold Griffin.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. The Rev. Jim Schremp will officiate. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
