Gerald W. Ballard

Gerald W. Ballard, 65, of Pontiac, Mich. died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, in Pontiac.

Mr. Ballard was born March 10, 1943, in Friendship, Tenn. He had retired from General Motors Truck and Bus Division, and was a member of the U.A.W. Local #594, in Pontiac.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Sue (Johnson) Ballard, of Pontiac; three children, Keith Ballard, of Warren, Mich., Dawn Castillo, of Waterford, Mich. and Kurt Ballard, of Pontiac, Mich.; five grandchildren; a sister, Louise Jones; and four brothers, Joe Ballard, Ronnie Ballard, Michael Ballard and Chris Ballard.

Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, in Waterford, Mich. A graveside service and burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Brown Chapel Cemetery, in Broseley with the Rev. Steve Patterson officiating and Kurt Ballard assisting.
