Geraldine (Fletcher) Howard

Geraldine Howard, 91, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at her residence.

Mrs. Howard, the daughter of the late William and Josephine Rouse Fletcher, was born Aug. 9, 1924 in Kirksville, Mo. She was a member of the First Church of God. Mrs. Howard had worked as a cafeteria cook at Mitchell grade school. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and quilting.

On June 27, 1947, she was married to Bill D. Howard in Poplar Bluff.

Survivors include her husband, Bill; and three children: Bill J. (Dianne) Howard and Gene (Gale) Howard of Poplar Bluff and June (Mike) Monn of Warrensburg, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gene Fletcher of Destin, Fla.

A daughter, Paulette Zyung and a son, Terry Goucher also preceded Mrs. Howard in death.

A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
