Gertie M. Thusing

Gertie M. Thusing, 89, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 at Mark Twain Caring Center, in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Thusing was born Nov. 5, 1918, in Centerville, Tenn. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed gardening.

On Dec. 24, 1949 she married Roger V. Thusing, in Corning, Ark. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1999.

Survivors include her brother, William Leonard Bates, of Poplar Bluff; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held Saturday, Jan. 12th at Kinsey Cemetery, in Butler County. The Rev. Jim Schremp officiated.

Cotrell Funeral Service, of Poplar Bluff was in charge of the arrangements.
